芒花拾穗（第十屆草嶺古道芒花季） 2012

2011/A Decade of Silver Grass Season at Caoling Historical Trails
Reaching a notable milestone in 2011- the tenth anniversary of the Silver Grass Festival - the
administration focused on ‘the image of perfection.’ The theme this year was Ten Years of Prosperity.
During one month of the festival, visitors crowded onto the Caoling Historical Trail and some even
made more than one visit! In celebration of the tenth anniversary and also the 100 anniversary

of ROC, many novel and fascinating activities were held for visitors to experience and win prizes.
Activities included a Treasure Hunting Adventure, a Silver Grass Trip, Nostalgic Performances
along the trail and Sending Postcards to Friends/Family. There was also a free shuttle bus service to
Lingjiushan. Besides the regular, special activities, for the first time this year visitors could combine
hiking and biking. With the Taiwan Shuttle Bus — the Golden Fulong Line was open to the public.
芒花 After hiking the Caoling Historical Trail, visitors could take a trip to nine scenic spots. These spots
included Ruifang, Jiufen, the Golden Ecological Park, Shuinandong, Bitou, Longdongwan Ocean The Legend of the Silver Grass
