京劇一直是中國戲劇的代表之一，而臉譜更是其精華，主要是使觀賞者較易融入劇情角色中。京
劇臉譜，是具有民族特色的一種特殊的化妝方法，由於每個歷史人物或某一種類型的人物都有一
種大概的譜式，就像唱歌、奏樂都要按照樂譜一樣，所以稱為「臉譜」。

Masks

The Beijin Opera has always being the leading style of Chinese opera. The masks are the unique
characteristic found in Beijin Operas, they are used to let the audiences understand the characters
better. The masks are special facial paints, every historic figure or certain type of characters has a
basic style of mask that variations are based on.

彌勒佛久遠劫以來，早已成佛，但是為了拯救眾生的大事因緣，所以二千多年來，更以無數的化
身來救渡芸芸的眾生。在中國六朝曾化身為善慧大士，五代時的布袋和尚，也是彌勒化身之一。

Maitreya Buddha

Maitreya Buddha has become a Buddha centuries ago, but in order to enlighten people from their
sufferings, for two centuries, the Maitreya Buddha reincarnated back into our world to help the
people. According to the legend, his reincarnations can be found in six consecutive dynasties in
China.
