Sand sculpture workshop

The first sand sculpture workshop is held in the afternoon of May 20th
during 2017 Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival. A sand sculpture
artist, Ting Yuan Chien shows participants the procedures for making a sand
sculpture. In addition, she also introduces the sand sculpture kits as well as
basic sculpting skills for participants to learn more about the art of creating sand
sculptures.
This workshop is based on family-oriented activities and takes the theme
'a glorious golden sand castle'. Parents can work with their children to make
their own sand sculpture during the workshop. Miss Ting believes that each
child has an image of his own castle at different stages of development. Their
castles present either the glory full of the heroic image or the hopes of their
dreams. Therefore, the first sand sculpture workshop uses 'castle' as its theme
and encourages participants to build up the castle on their mind through the
demonstration. This workshop provides an opportunity for both parents and
children to enjoy the fun from making sand sculptures and also creates a lot of
wonderful memories.
