                     峰天牛、扁鍬行蟲、叩頭蟲、牛背鷺、台灣藍鵲等,植物類則有山棕、桂竹林、姑婆
                     芋、月桃、野薑花、鐵砲百合、臺灣桫欏、白背芒、箭竹、漆樹、相思樹、蕨類等,
                     對於喜愛觀察生態的遊客實屬不容錯過之處。

                     In addition of a trail of natural beauty, historical legends and cultural relics, the Caoling Historical
                     Trail is also an ecological treasure. It is rich in flora and fauna and the environment provides shelter
                     for a variety of creatures and plants to survive and grow. The forest here is very old, with a mixture of

                     common species of coastal forests and low-elevation forest. If one observes carefully, some rare and
                     treasured birds and insects are not hard to find. These include: Nephila pilipes, Matrona cyanoptera,
                     Danaus genutia, Pomponia linearis, larva of Red bugs, Stainers, Dysdercus cingulatus, Papilio bianor
                     thrasymedes, Paraglenea swinhoei Bates, kriesche, click beetle, Bubulcus ibis, and Formosan Blue
                     Magpie. The common plants that can be seen include the Formosan sugar palm, Makino Bamboo
                     forest, Giant Elephant Ear, Alpinia zerumbet, Ginger Lily, Longflower Lily, Taiwan Spinulose Tree
                     Fern, Silver Grass, Fargesia, Giant-Leaved Making-Nut, Taiwan Acacia, and ferns.
