海階與海蝕平臺，與範圍較小的蕈狀岩、交錯層、豆腐岩
等。龍洞出露的地層是由較北部海岸堅硬的岩石「四稜砂
岩」(或稱四稜砂岩)所構成，其主要的成分是始新至漸新世
的石英質砂岩。
