Greeting the First Gleams of
Day at Fulong

The activity Greeti ng the Dawn and Winning
the First has been hosted by the First Financial
Group and the Administration since 2009. Since
then, every year before the first day, people
would take the train or drive to Fulong to watch
the sunrise. In the moments before dawn, well-
known singers and dancers are invited to
perform. As the sky starts to brighten, more and
more people gather around the Rainbow Bridge
waiting for dawn. At about six or seven o’clock
in the morning, the first tender rays of light can
be seen across the sky, penetrating the clouds
and beautifully reflecting on the ocean. Each
year we hope to inspire people with this
ceremony.
