Excursion to Experience an Awe-
Inspiring Tour
The shallow waters around Turtle Island are perfect for
whale watching. There are up to seventeen different
varieties of whales and dolphins in this habitat. Whale
watching season occurs between April and September
and attracts more and more visitors each year. In
addition to whale watching around Turtle Island, from
this year the Administration plans a series of activities
combining the concept of eco-tourism and eco-
education. This plan also combines the resources of
the Yilan County Government, Yilan County Whale
Watching Promotion Association, Taiwan Cetacean
Society and other local boat companies and
restaurants near Tou Cheng area.
