                                                                                                                                                       activities.  Sand sculpting in Taiwan first developed in   ߏ

                                                                                                                                                       the 1950s, but it wasn’t until 1980s that the activity was

                                                                                                                                                       becoming popular again.  Thanks to the exceptional
            ˾d͟׵Ӎᎉݺਗ˴ࠅࠢ׵Ӎ֦ήҖdΪϤ্ᄰඊ
                                                                                                                                                       natural quartz sandy beaches from Yenliao to Fulong,
            ੽᜾ᄰՑ၅ඤɓ੭dک݊Ӎᎉ௴Ъٙරږή੭fவ
                                                                                                                                                       which is three kilometers long, Taiwan's first sand
            ɓݬၧַɧʮԢڗٙරږӍᛉdӍሯ᙮ͩߵӍdݓ
                                                                                                                                                       sculpture  event  began  in  1989.    It  started  in  the
            ழͣ୚eᙃชޟԳdՉձ˥ܝ̙෧׌Գe׸ᇭഹd
                                                                                                                                                       Northeast part of Yenliao.   It was a huge success, with

                                                                                                                                                       many stunning sand creations molded by sculptors

            ਜd຅ࣛکಀᒗሗ˰ޢ΢਷ٙӍᎉλ˓΍Ν௴Ъd                                                                                                                     years, in 2008, the first Fulong Sand Sculpture Art
            ϓމɓߕሔfျ༼εϋܝdٜՑ2008ϋdމપ࢝ၽ                                                                                                                   Festival event was held by the Northeast and Yilan
            ᝄٙӍᎉݺਗdܔͭ਷ʫӍᎉᖵஔ௴Ъ٤ගd؇̏                                                                                                                     National Coast Administration.  Since then, the event
            ԉ࿬֝ᚆࠬ၍ஈ˸௴จБቖٙ˙όdᑘ፬ୋɓ֣                                                                                                                      has been held annually, attracting more than one
            ˜၅ඤӍᎉᖵஔ֙™dӊϋіˏ൴ཀ100,000ɛϣ˸                                                                                                                 hundred thousand people per year to visit, which
